Who can apply for the bursary?

The bursary is open to actors at any stage of their career, from drama school graduates and emerging performers to experienced actors who may be going through a difficult time financially. If you feel you would genuinely benefit, we encourage you to apply.

Is it really free?

Yes. The headshot session itself is free for anyone offered a bursary place. The only money involved is a 15 GBP refundable deposit that holds your slot, and it comes back to you after you attend.

How much does it cost?

The headshot session itself is completely free. If you are offered a place, we ask for a 15 GBP fully refundable deposit to secure your booking. This is returned to you after you attend the session.

What happens after I apply?

We review every application carefully. If you are shortlisted, we will be in touch by email to let you know and help you book a session. If we are not able to offer you a place this time, we will let you know too.

How long is the session and what happens on the day?

Your session lasts a full hour at our King's Cross studio. We start with a chat so you can settle in, then shoot in a relaxed, guided way with direction throughout. There is no rush and no need for any previous camera experience.

How many headshots do I receive?

You receive one professionally edited, casting-ready headshot from your session. You will see the full set of unedited shots and choose your favourite, and you can buy further edited images if you want them.

What should I bring and wear?

Bring two or three plain tops in colours you feel good in, avoiding busy patterns and large logos. Come as you normally look for a casting. If you wear make-up, keep it natural. We will help you with the rest on the day.

How soon will I get my headshot?

We send your unedited gallery shortly after the session so you can pick your favourite, then return your finished, retouched headshot once you have chosen.

Do I need previous professional headshots?

Not at all. Many of our bursary recipients are having professional headshots taken for the first time. We will guide you through the whole process so you feel comfortable and confident.

Where is the studio and is it accessible?

Our studio is at 200 York Way, London N7 9AX, a short walk from King's Cross St Pancras. It is step-free and accessible. If you have specific access requirements, please mention them in your application and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.

Will everyone who applies receive a bursary?

We wish we could help everyone, but places are limited. We prioritise applicants who we feel would benefit most from the support. We encourage you to be open and honest in your application.

Can I apply again if I am not offered a place?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Places are limited and each round is different, so you are welcome to apply again another time, particularly if your circumstances have changed.

Is Ceeb Moz a charity?

No. Ceeb Moz is a working headshot studio and the bursary is self-funded. Donations go towards running sessions at cost price, covering studio time, the team who deliver the sessions, kit, and editing.
